Kara Jei Tokita – Principal/President

With over 19 years of event management and hospitality experience, Kara has a vast array of experiences to pull from and has managed almost every type of event imaginable.

As Principal of Tokita Bethune, Inc., Kara can now apply this event expertise on every level.
-2+ years as Senior Account Executive for PPI, overseeing 75+ tradeshows per year for Microsoft Corp., including the participation of Windows CE and the Hands On stations in Comdex, PC Expo, Windows World and N+I.
-Venue Operations Manager for the 1996 Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games, responsible for all on-site logistics for two of the Games facilities, and supervising 10 managers and 2,500+ staff and volunteers.
-10+ years managing a variety of events for the Washington State Convention and Trade Center, including large national tradeshows, special events and conferences with up to 100,000 attendees.
Brad N. Bethune – Principal/Vice-President, Treasurer

Working in a variety of different industries in his 18-year career, Brad has been involved in every aspect of marketing from a number of different angles.

From Internet technology and software to sporting goods and consumer packaged goods, he has managed many campaigns and helped brands and products exceed their sales and marketing goals.
- 4+ years at Sierra managing the development of packaging, advertising, and PR campaigns for a variety of consumer brands, as well as successfully launching new computer game brands and products in a crowded retail marketplace.
- 5+ years at O’Brien Watersports running pro tour events, tradeshows, and boat shows, while producing product videos, ad campaigns, catalogs and other marketing materials.
- Launched a new Sonicare website and managed all retail marketing for 2+ years at Optiva Corp., including the creation of national sales programs and materials for the retail segment of the premium electric toothbrush business.
- Managed all joint regional marketing programs for Pepsi-Cola in the states of Oregon and Hawaii including radio and retail partner promotions and the successful roll-out of national product launch initiatives.
- Managed all marketing-related projects for the Internet technology company, WildTangent by successfully working with internal and external groups to create programs adding to the bottom line.
